We've added a couple of new features to our online presence this year to make sure things run as seamlessly as possible, and to make sure that we keep making space to rep our DVM pride. Enter: our new virtual event space.
This is a space that we have built for you, to make sure that accessing any and all of our events is as easy as possible, and to make sure that our community has one place to come together to learn and network. Below you'll find a complete list of all upcoming events as we schedule them, along with any important information or resources that we think you might find useful when attending. We've also included links to our applications right on this page, just to keep everything in one spot for you, since we know the online world has gotten a little overwhelming recently.

BIPOC Caucus
The regrettable events that are happening in the United States and in Canada in recent months have highlighted the need for continued efforts in the fight for the eradication of racism and discrimination. As such, the GDVM in collaboration with AÉDSA is encouraging the creation of a caucus in charge of representing BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students and of advancing their interest within the School of International Development and Globalisation Studies (SIDGS) at the University of Ottawa.
The caucus will be opened to all self- identifying BIPOC undergraduate and graduate DVM students (members of the associations) to pursue a common mandate, as determined by the Caucus. The membership will not be reported/disclosed unless otherwise determined by the caucus.
The caucus will operate independently from the International Development Graduate Student Association (GDVM), the Undergraduate Development Students’ Association (AÉDSA), and the School of International Development and Global Studies (SIGDS) and, as such, will not be subject to either organization’s leadership.
